Worcester technology company nominated for influential national award

Postcode Anywhere joins the brightest and best to celebrate retail excellenceWorcester, UK - 21 August 2014 – “What’s your postcode?” company, Postcode Anywhere, is delighted to have secured a nomination place in the Retail Systems Awards in the Online Vendor of the Year category.

The Retail Systems Awards provide a celebration acknowledging the achievements of some of the biggest retail brands in the UK. The awards have a specific focus on highlighting the latest developments in technology throughout the breadth of the sector.

Postcode Anywhere received the nomination for their Capture+ solution that has revolutionised the address validation market especially in the retail sector. Many top brand retailers including Tesco, River Island and Hotel Chocolat have experienced the benefits of using the service in their online offerings.

Multi-channel retailers endorse Capture+ and have adopted it for their online offerings as it ensures customers have a quality user experience. It also mitigates the problem of failed parcel deliveries making sure that consignments are delivered to the correct address.

Postcode Anywhere’s Chief Technical Officer Jamie Turner said: “Top retail brands have been quick to embrace Capture+ for customer usability benefits as it vastly improves the online buying process. But we’re also finding that a lot of them want to extend their operations outside of the UK.  Capture+ gives them the potential to access a wide-range of global territories equipping them with the tools and scalability for overseas expansion for very little initial investment. “

The Retail Systems Awards evening takes place in London on the 30th October. Postcode Anywhere will be competing against some of the most well- known technology suppliers and retail brands. Shop Direct, House of Fraser, John Lewis, Mothercare, PayPal, Zapp and Barclays Pingit to name but a few, are among the companies shortlisted for the 2014 awards.

Scott Thompson, editor of Retail Systems magazine, who co-ordinate and host the awards said: "Competition has been particularly fierce this year. Once again there are many great examples of cutting edge omnichannel technology suppliers and retailers making innovative and effective use of technology in various pockets of the sector. I'm looking forward to meeting with the judges to decide the winners and to the big night in October."

Now in its ninth year the Retail Systems Awards recognises technology excellence and innovation within the retail sector. The winners will be announced at a black tie gala dinner and ceremony held at the prestigious Lancaster London Hotel.
